    Lace Wedding Dresses

    May 7th, 2012

If you are getting hitched in 2013, you might want to think about getting married in lace. It is feminine and pretty, delicate and classic, and one of the biggest trends of the season. Here are three lace bridal gowns: from Christos, Oscar de la Renta and Monique Lhuillier.

    Sweethearts

    April 3rd, 2012

It seems like all our favorite songstresses are pairing with talented boys to take their success to new creative heights (She & Him, Jack and White). Now Priscilla Ahn has teamed up with Charlie Wadhams (Rex Aquarium) to create Sweet Hearts. I love this video that Charlie put together of his grandparents. Very darling. Oh, love. Oh, sweethearts.

    What time is it?

    March 20th, 2012

Time to get a Kate Spade watch! I’m not surprised that I’ve fallen in love with their time pieces, I like almost every single thing that Kate Spade New York creates. But I wanted to share these two styles: the candy colored bangle watches, which are great for spring ($250), and the classic Gramercy Crystal ($250), great for every day of the year. I especially love the little KSNY details, like the engraved words in the inside wristbands. They are so darling! Which watch would you invest in?

    Dallas Shaw New Site

    March 15th, 2012

Dallas Shaw is a darling artist, and blogger in her own right. She has been interviewed by The Girls With Glasses, featured on the ELIZA blog, and has a great shop to buy prints. She just did a redesign of her website, and we thought this would be a perfect time to ask Ms. Dallas Shaw a few questions. Check out her well designed site here.

Why are you so stylish? How are you so charming? No really, tell us. I can’t EVEN answer that. I am, however, so flattered.

What makes good design? I think having great taste and personal style is what makes any design work. Forget the “rules” and trust your gut.

What is your favorite accomplishment this year? I just finished illustrating a book for someone I really admire. I’ll share more on that soon!

What goal are you going to hit this year? This year I am growing my business, into style consulting as well as illustration. I have been having so much fun with it and am flattered that people enjoy my personal taste enough to hire me to share my style with them.

What is inspiring you right now? Spring, in general, and lots of coastal decor. The colors everywhere are amazing, I hope it encourages everyone to have some fun with prints.

    Eva Franco

    February 28th, 2012

The nautical trend is a timeless trend, that will probably be in style for all of time. However, you can only wear stripes so often. I love this dress from Eva Franco, which has a sailing theme, but it’s done in a less traditional way. What do you think?

Want to know more about the woman behind the company? Check her blog and below is the bio from her site.

When Eva Franco emigrated to the United States as a young girl, fashion quickly became her entrée into new surroundings. Born and raised in Transylvania, Romania, but of Hungarian heritage, she discovered that her passion for designing clothing helped her express herself as she communicated with her American peers.

After graduating from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Franco went to Paris, where she continued her education as a design assistant for Etienne Brunel.

But it was when she moved to Los Angeles that she began crafting clothes for herself. Fueled by positive remarks from passersby, she set up shop at a local flea market, where she was able to learn directly from customers about creating pieces that celebrate the female form.

Today the Eva Franco brand can be found in 800 stores domestically and internationally. All clothing is made in
Los Angeles, where her company is based.

I also love this video of Eva talking about her safety pin print. Her prints are my favorite.
